How to cook frozen homemade food easily and deliciously.
Place frozen vareniki in gently boiling salted water in small batches. After they float, cook for 3–5 minutes and remove carefully.
Do not defrost them first. Cook in plenty of water for 5–7 minutes after they float. Add bay leaf and pepper to taste.
Syrniki can be cooked without defrosting, either in a frying pan or in the oven. 1. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it. Add the syrniki and cover with a lid. Fry for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. 2. Alternatively, fry for 2 minutes on each side to form a crust, then transfer to a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes at 180 °C. Serve with sour cream, jam or any topping.
Keep packages at −18°C. Do not refreeze, as this affects the dough, filling and food safety.
Serve vareniki with sour cream, fried onions, herbs or a homemade sauce. Dinner can be ready in about 15 minutes.
